Health & Safety Coordinator – Construction

Capital Infrastructure Group Inc. is a leading construction and contracting company in the sewer water / waste water construction field.

The Health & Safety Coordinator will play a critical role in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. In this role, you will leverage your understanding of OHSA regulations to conduct risk assessments and audits, develop and provide training on health and safety procedures, investigate incidents, and maintain compliance with OHSA regulations.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement health and safety policies and programs

· Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards

· Train employees on health and safety procedures and regulations

· Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences

· Maintain and update health and safety documentation and records

· Monitor workplace conditions and ensure compliance with OHSA regulations

· Coordinate emergency response procedures and drills

· Keep up-to-date with new health and safety regulations and best practices

· Perform work site inspections outside at various locations twelve months of the year

· Assist in the C.O.R internal/external audits submittals

Requirements:

· At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role

· Strong knowledge of OHSA regulations and compliance requirements

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

· Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
